Christopher A. Boettcher, CCM General Manager, Milwaukee Country Club
Chris began his career in the hospitality industry in California at fine dining restaurants and hotels. His experience includes the Sonoma Mission Inn, the Sheraton Hotel corporation, the Four Seasons in Newport Beach, the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles and the Fairmont at the San Jose and Chicago properties. In this tenure, he opened two hotels, earned culinary awards and was part of the team that attained the Mobil 5-Star Award for three years straight while at the Hotel Bel-Air.
For the last 12 years, Chris has worked in the club industry at fine properties such as Twin Orchard in Long Grove, Illinois, Broadmoor Golf Club in Seattle, Washington, and Brynwood Country Club in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Chris is currently employed at Milwaukee Country Club as the club’s General Manager. Milwaukee is rated 48th on the top 100 list of private country clubs and in the top ten of best maintained golf courses in America as rated by Golf Digest. The country club has been host to many notable events like the Walker Cup and will host the USGA Mid-Am in 2008.
Association service is an important part of Chris’ focus. He has served as a local Chapter Director and on several National committees for the Club Manager’s Association of America. Chris earned his Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation in 2002 after a rigorous training and testing program.
Chris enjoys running marathons, volunteering for charitable organizations and spending time with his family of four. Continued education, training interns and furthering the development of associates in the club and hospitality field are passions and goals Chris holds dear. |
