I have had a progressive career in the industry that started as a server at Forest Lake Club while a student at the University of South Carolina. My experience at FLC, is ultimately what drove me towards CMAA as a student and the relationships that propelled my career over the past 15 years, all of which have been in the Carolinas. My career has grown amongst several different size clubs, with progressive roles in different marketplaces. Beginning with 4 years at a premiere North Ridge Country Club, I moved on to a Clubhouse Manager role at a seasonal Wildcat Cliffs Country Club. From that point, I spent 2.5 years as the Assistant General Manager at Hope Valley Country Club, before stepping away from the industry for six months. This experience taught me a lot, and I re-entered the industry as the General Manager of dining & social club Green Boundary Club. After building this club back up from almost going out of business, I moved back into the Country Club scene as the GM/COO of Cabarrus Country Club for a year, before ultimately coming back home to Forest Lake Club as the club's first true GM/COO. My career has been built on strong relationships, and transparent servant leadership. Progressing through the Food and Beverage side of the industry, has been monumental in developing the right leadership based experience to be able to develop and give back to the future of our industry.
