Join us for a private tour of the newly-opened Sierra Nevada Brewery. Their copper-clad kettles are a far cry from the repurposed scrap dairy tanks of their early years. The whole-cone hops they use to create the beer’s aroma and flavor, today shipped to them in 200-pound bales, their founder Ken Grossman originally got in one-pound chunks. You’ll peer into those kettles, smell those hops, and get even more hands on as you navigate the entire beer-making process. (Ever tried wort? Think of it as pre-beer.) Enjoy an educational tasting of Sierra Nevada beers right next to their open fermenters. Return to your club with knowledge and excitement for the increasingly popular craft beer industry.
