Summer Education
2019 SUMMER EDUCATION:
BILTMORE CENTER FOR
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
BILTMORE ESTATE / ASHEVILLE, NC
Sunday, August 11 - Monday, August 12
Registration for this event is now CLOSED
This unique education event is our third in a series that started in 2017 with the Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center and "Service Excellence Culture" and continued in 2018 with "Disney's Approach to Quality Service."
This education session (which will count as a 6-hour CMI) will introduce you to Biltmore's business methodology that translates across industries. It will feature a leader from their company who is equipped to transfer their best practices to the club industry. Classroom education combined with experiential learning will help you view obstacles through a new lens and prepare you to face the future with confidence.
The Education
"Strategic Storytelling"
An organization's culture is vibrant and powerful when its people have a shared mindset and consistently demonstrate the use of a common language and behaviors. This harmony is attractive to potential members who seek meaningful experiences, and talent, who is seeking an employer with clear values. However, competing organizational priorities and numerous distractions cloud our messaging, turn away potential talent, and frustrate our members. How can a club break through the noise?
Enter storytelling. Stories are the fabric of our lives. They create an emotional connection and provide meaning to ordinary events. In fact, a story is the one thing that can captivate a human being's attention for hours.
As a fifth-generation, family-owned business, Biltmore uses stories to gain fierce loyalty from our customers, attract top talent, and differentiate our business from the competition. By weaving memories into our corporate culture, we create a powerful touchstone for our leadership team, employees, and customers. Story is the greatest weapon we have to combat noise, because it organizes information in such a way that people are compelled to listen.
