Sally
McNeill is a Family and Consumer Sciences agent with the NC Cooperative
Extension in Union County, NC. She is a registered dietitian and
licensed nutritionist. A Winthrop
University graduate, McNeill spent 17 years working in the
hospital/healthcare arena before joining the NC Cooperative Extension in
1993. She worked with Extension in Mecklenburg County for 11 years
before transferring to Union County in 2004. McNeill
is responsible for educational programming in the areas of food safety;
food preservation; health and wellness; and foods and nutrition. She
stays busy teaching the Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less weight
management program; offering sessions of the ServSafe Manager’s Food
Safety Training; coordinating the annual Union County Senior Wellness
Expo; and presenting numerous nutrition programs throughout the
community. In collaboration with the
Union County Local Foods Agent, McNeill is involved with the Learn as
You Grow Community Garden project. |
