"Managing a Better club wine program"

 Program Speaker:
Anne Prevatte, CS, CSW, WSET 3
Wine Director, Grandfather Golf & Country Club

Anne is the Wine Director and Beverage Manager at Grandfather Golf & Country Club in Linville, NC.  She is a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, a Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators and has passed the level 3 exam with the Wine and Spirits Education Trust.  She is currently working through class for French Wine Scholar with the French Wine Society.
Having been in the food service industry for over 15 years, she has worked in both the front and back of the house and served as wine buyer for several restaurants.  Anne also developed standard operating procedures and training manuals for wait and bar staff and served as consultant for a newly opened restaurant in the area.

Her most challenging and rewarding job has been with Grandfather in a country club setting.   For the past 5 years, she has built a wine program that looks to serve a dynamic and increasingly sophisticated membership.  Features such as a diverse wine-by-the glass and bottle list, a member’s wine club, weekly wine tastings, winemakers’ dinners and a knowledgeable staff are now seen as an important part of club life at Grandfather.
